Your role:
They are looking for a switched-on, knowledgeable EL1 Information Technology Security Advisor to partner with the ICT division to ensure cyber-related policies and practices are implemented. This role will also perform security investigations and implement and monitor the compliance of policies and procedures.
This role is an EL1 non-ongoing for 2 years with the possibility of extension and going permanent.
The salary range is $116,859 - $126,287 + 15.4% superannuation.
What you bring:
Technically, you have good knowledge of cyber frameworks, controls, legislation, including the ISM. You can respond effectively to complex cyber incidents and are able to guide the refinement of practices and processes that increase the detection of security incidents.
Building relationships and stakeholder engagement comes naturally to you. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills being able to tailor your language to suit your audience.
Due to security requirements, ideally you hold a Negative Vetting 1 Australian Government Security clearance that is either current or can be reinstated.
