Role Summary
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Enterprise Engineer to join a digital transformation initiative within a Australian Government department. This role is critical to the delivery of enterprise technology strategies that support the agency's evolving needs, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure platforms.
Working closely with senior architects, delivery teams, and business stakeholders, you will provide technical leadership and contribute to the successful design, documentation, and implementation of complex enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and delivery of enterprise-level solutions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure services, and related technologies.
- Support the execution of technology strategies that align with agency goals and digital transformation priorities.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with industry standards and government compliance frameworks (e.g. ISM, PSPF).
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, including high-level solution designs, integration patterns, and reference models.
- Collaborate across business and technical teams to ensure architectural decisions are understood and executed effectively.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Azure platform governance, DevOps practices, and cloud-native services.
- Engage proactively in technical reviews and architecture governance forums to support effective delivery and continuous improvement.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a senior technology advisory/engineering role.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including practical experience with platform governance and cloud-native service design.
- Strong hands-on experience delivering integrated solutions with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including within broader enterprise ecosystems.
- Proven capability in working with a diverse range of stakeholders across large-scale transformation programs.
- Ability to align enterprise patterns, principles, and policies with both business objectives and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Well-developed skills in producing high-quality architectural and technical documentation, including solution blueprints and reference architectures.
- Prior experience working with or alongside Australian Federal Government agencies, with knowledge of relevant compliance standards and digital policies.
