A global industrial technology leader is seeking a Technical Writer to create and maintain user-centric documentation for mission-critical software and hardware solutions. You'll join a small, specialised team driving the future of automated operations.
The Role:
You'll research, plan, write, update, and deliver technical documentation-release notes, user guides, reference and configuration manuals, and administrative guides. You'll work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Service Engineers, and SMEs to gather information, identify reuse opportunities, and improve templates and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-quality technical content for software and hardware products
Collaborate with engineering, service, and product teams to capture and verify technical details
Analyse content for single-sourcing and reuse, and optimise documentation workflows
Manage multiple documentation projects, identify risks, and deliver on time
Coach colleagues on documentation best practices and adopt innovative authoring tools and AI
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
Proven experience with MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, Wikis, and Microsoft Office
Strong written/verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment
Proactive mindset, high attention to detail, and adaptability
Portfolio of technical writing samples; mining or heavy equipment experience is a plus
Willingness to travel domestically (up to 10%) for training and stakeholder workshops
