Location: Canberra ACT (Onsite)
Contract: Full‑time,
Clearance: NV1 (required)
This role is ideal for someone early in their system administration career who is keen to work hands‑on in a structured environment supporting nationally significant systems.
What you'll be doing
- Monitoring and analysing system performance and resolving issues
- Identifying configuration discrepancies, assessing security risks, and implementing compliant solutions
- Installing, maintaining and supporting server hardware and software
- Supporting testing activities including test execution and outcome reporting
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation and system artefacts
- Working collaboratively within a small onsite team while managing tasks independently
- Assisting with training activities, demonstrations, presentations and eLearning content as required
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to support system sustainment and improvement
Key Skills Required
- Experience identifying and analysing system performance issues
- Experience identifying configuration discrepancies and implementing secure, compliant solutions
- Experience designing, installing and maintaining server hardware and software
- Ability to work flexibly across a range of tasks within a small team
- Strong time management skills
- Experience creating and maintaining system and process documentation
- Understanding of the ICT software development lifecycle, including testing and release processes
