We are recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to step into a product led software environment working on complex, real-world technology platforms. This position suits a clear communicator with a strong automation mindset who enjoys collaborating across engineering, product and customer facing teams to deliver reliable, high value solutions used in operational environments.


What you'll be doing

• Owning end-to-end test coverage for user stories and acceptance criteria
• Stabilising and uplifting existing QA and automation practices
• Estimating testing effort for features and backlog items
• Defining test plans and maintaining quality test artefacts
• Driving adherence to QA processes and quality standards
• Building and maintaining automated tests across UI, API and backend
• Enhancing automation frameworks including Cucumber-based solutions
• Enabling continuous testing through CI/CD pipelines
• Executing regression, acceptance and exploratory testing
• Supporting test environments and test data management
• Collaborating with engineers, product and customer stakeholders
• Championing a risk-based, shift-left approach to quality

What you need to bring

• 4+ years' experience in Quality Assurance and automation enabled testing
• Strong communication skills and confidence working in cross functional teams
• A clear interest in automation with demonstrated experience building and maintaining automated test suites
• Experience working in complex, product based software environments
• Hands on exposure to automation frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, Playwright or similar)
• Working knowledge of Java and/or TypeScript/JavaScript (Python also beneficial)
• Experience testing microservices, REST APIs and cloud based platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
• Solid SQL skills for database and API testing
• Strong test design capability, including risk-based and exploratory testing approaches
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with a clear understanding of SDLC and shift-left practices

Bonus points for

• Experience building automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
• Exposure to RBAC, complex data scenarios and end-to-end system workflows
• Contributing to code reviews, quality gates and broader engineering practices
• Identifying and driving continuous improvement in QA capability and maturity
• Strong understanding of end user and customer centric testing approaches
• Background in industrial, mining or other complex systems environments
