We are partnering with a Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Business Technology Platform Owner to support the governance, optimisation, and ongoing success of key enterprise technology platforms. Working across business and technology teams, you'll help ensure platforms deliver measurable business value, remain secure and compliant, and continue to evolve in line with strategic priorities and digital transformation objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle management of enterprise technology platforms
• Develop and maintain platform roadmaps aligned to business priorities
• Act as the primary business SME and platform representative
• Drive platform performance, availability, service levels, and user adoption
• Identify, assess, and prioritise platform enhancements and new capabilities
• Translate business requirements into platform outcomes and improvement initiatives
• Partner with business and technology teams to deliver platform improvements
• Manage vendor relationships and service partners
• Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and compliance obligations
• Lead change and adoption initiatives to maximise platform value
• Prepare platform reporting, insights, and executive updates
• Drive continuous improvement through best practice and user feedback

What you need to bring

• 5+ years' experience in a Platform Owner, Platform Manager, Product Owner, or similar role
• Strong enterprise platform management experience
• Proven experience developing platform strategies and roadmaps
• Strong business analysis and requirements management capability
• Ability to translate business needs into practical platform solutions
• Experience with technology governance and service management practices
• Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
• Understanding of risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity principles
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery
• Proven experience driving business adoption and change outcomes

Bonus points for

• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP ESM, Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, or Oracle Cloud
• Exposure to digital transformation or enterprise modernisation programs
• Experience managing third-party vendors or strategic technology partners
• Strong understanding of privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
• Experience within complex government environments
• Certifications in change management, service management, business analysis, or platform technologies
