About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Database SQL Developer to join a major enterprise transformation program within a large-scale environment. Working within the Data Migration stream, you will play a key role in developing mapping requirements, translating business requirements into SQL queries, and supporting complex data migration activities.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working closely with Business Analysts, understands data structures deeply, and can confidently develop, test, troubleshoot, and document SQL solutions within governed delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL queries to support complex data migration activities
• Interpret mapping requirements and translate them into technical SQL solutions
• Analyse requirements to ensure compatibility with existing data schemas
• Test, validate, and document developed queries and solutions
• Maintain, develop, and troubleshoot SQL databases to ensure service continuity
• Support database and ETL operational continuity through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Assist with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes relating to databases and ETL systems
• Develop and support ETL processes and integration workloads
• Participate in the logical and physical design of SQL Server database systems
• Build and maintain database systems and data mapping solutions
• Validate data and resolve complex data conversion issues

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in SQL Database development, administration, and support
• Advanced SQL query writing and performance tuning skills
• Proven experience supporting large-scale data migration initiatives
• Experience with ETL tools and processes
• Understanding of data structures, reconciliation techniques, and data mapping
• Experience in troubleshooting database and ETL-related issues
• Exposure to scripting languages such as Groovy and JavaScript
• Ability to automate migration and database-related tasks
