About the Role
Our client has recently launched a new enterprise website and is now entering a critical post-launch phase focused on hypercare, optimisation and continuous improvement.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Web Manager to support the ongoing management, maintenance and enhancement of the organisation's website. This role will be responsible for delivering website updates, improving digital content, supporting form digitisation and migrating priority content into the new website structure.
Working closely with communications, digital, IT teams, external vendors and business stakeholders, you will help deliver an engaging, accessible and user-focused digital experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day website content updates, publishing and quality assurance.
- Support post-launch hypercare by identifying and resolving website issues, broken links, content gaps and usability improvements.
- Review, edit and optimise website content to ensure it is accurate, accessible, user-focused and written in plain English.
- Support the migration of priority content into the new website, ensuring alignment with the information architecture.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve digital content and translate complex information into clear, easy-to-understand web content.
- Assist with the digitisation of online forms and digital services, including payment-enabled forms.
- Analyse website performance using analytics, search data and user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility, usability and content governance standards.
- Liaise with internal ICT teams, vendors and business stakeholders to resolve website issues and deliver enhancements.
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting and quality assurance activities for website releases and updates.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing and maintaining websites within a large or complex organisation, ideally within the public sector.
- Strong web content management skills, including writing, editing and structuring content for online audiences.
- Experience using a Content Management System (CMS), preferably Squiz Matrix or Squiz DXP.
- Good understanding of web accessibility standards, usability principles and plain English writing.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to gather requirements and deliver practical digital solutions.
- Experience using website analytics, search insights and user feedback to improve website performance and customer experience.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering website migration or digital content transformation projects.
- Experience supporting online forms, payment forms or digital service improvements.
- Knowledge of Victorian Government digital standards, accessibility requirements and content guidelines.
