Principal Enterprise Architect

Our Client a leading government organisation that is looking for a strong Enterprise Aechitect to come on board and help deliver a Cloud transformation within the AWS.

Enterprise Architects create and evolve architecture models that inform the design, development and evolution of business processes and supporting ICT systems.

In establishing this program, the Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide technology solutions that align with business objectives. The role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and business processes. The role will report to the Technical Delivery Leader.

Key duties and responsibilities

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation's business goals and objectives.
• Design and oversee the integration of new technologies into existing systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies and best practices across the organisation.
• Work with the Program team, leading the design of IT solutions, including hardware, software, and network configurations, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
• Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements and ensure architectural solutions meet business needs.

Essential criteria

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
• Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Cloud implementation and operational best practices with experience in developing and maintaining software programs. Extensive experience AWS and related technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and design complex solutions
