Senior M365/Azure Cloud Engineer

About the Role

You'll be a Senior Azure/M365 Engineer at the heart of mission-critical operations helping to modernise, secure, and support a hybrid IT infrastructure.

You'll work across a diverse mix of BAU and project initiatives, delivering technical expertise across the Azure Cloud/M365 platform, endpoint management, and on-premise systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead support and troubleshooting for a complex hybrid environment across Azure and on-prem Windows infrastructure.
• Manage and enhance Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and InTune.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors on projects including Cloud Migration, Cyber Uplift, and Security Enhancements.
• Contribute to upcoming strategic initiatives by defining technical requirements and implementing scalable solutions.
• Own documentation, architectural reviews, and system performance analysis.
• Participate in change management, incident/problem management, and after-hours work for key installations and upgrades.

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years in infrastructure roles with hands-on Windows Server experience (2012-2022).
• 3+ years of experience supporting Azure IaaS/PaaS in production.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, InTune).
• Proven track record in hybrid identity implementation, endpoint protection, Always On VPN, PKI/Certificate lifecycle management.
• Advanced skills in Azure services like Azure SQL, Virtual Machines, Key Vault, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, AKS, Sentinel, and DevOps pipelines.
• Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing).
• Experience in Zero Trust and Cyber Uplift initiatives highly regarded.

Bonus Points For

• Government or public sector experience
• Microsoft certifications in Azure/M365
• Familiarity with IaC tools, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Purview, and Sentinel
• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD
• Experience contributing to compliance with the Essential 8 and other cyber maturity frameworks
