Senior Technical Delivery Lead (Cyber Focus)

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Technical Delivery Lead to take charge of one of the most strategically important cyber uplift programmes in NSW.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the technical delivery of a multi-stream Essential 8 implementation, ensuring critical systems are safe, secure, and resilient against evolving cyber threats.

The programme aims to future-proof core digital systems, strengthen trust in digital processes, and embed robust cyber practices across a complex hybrid environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the technical delivery of an enterprise-wide cyber uplift aligned to the Essential 8 and Zero Trust principles.
• Partner with architects, project managers, and vendors to design and deliver secure solutions across infrastructure, cloud, and identity domains.
• Provide hands-on leadership and mentoring to a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Define and implement security hardening, monitoring, and configuration baselines.
• Validate the effectiveness of controls through technical assurance and maturity metrics.
• Translate technical risks and outcomes into business-focused insights for senior stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience delivering multi-stream cybersecurity programmes within large enterprise or government environments.
• Strong expertise across Microsoft ecosystems (Windows, Entra ID, Azure), identity management, cloud hardening, and automation.
• Solid understanding of security domains including:
• IAM / MFA / Conditional Access
• Cloud and network security
• Privileged Access and Identity Management
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to balance technical outcomes with organisational priorities.
