Senior System Engineer

We are partnering with our client on this exclusive assignment. We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to play a key role in a strategic VMware-to-Hyper-V migration program. This is a rare opportunity to help define and deliver the technical future of a managed services environment for our multi-tenant customer base.

We are transitioning our environments to Microsoft Hyper-V and we're looking for someone who's already done it before.

What you'll do

• Lead and contribute to the design, validation, and implementation of a new Hyper-V architecture.

• Provide technical direction and hands-on expertise across clustered and multi-tenant environments.

• Work closely with existing engineers to transfer knowledge and upskill the internal team.

• Define and execute migration strategies for internal and customer environments.

• Validate infrastructure designs and ensure best-practice standards are followed.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders across the business.

What you'll bring

• 8+ years experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles, ideally within an MSP or service provider environment.

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V, SCVMM, clustering, and replication.

• Hands-on migration experience from VMware to Hyper-V (or similar transitions).

• Strong understanding of multi-tenancy, performance tuning, and environment segmentation.

• Familiarity with VMware technologies (vCenter, vSphere, etc.).

• Proven ability to architect, document, and validate technical solutions.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, mentoring mindset.
