Process Business Analyst

• Hands-on Business Analyst role within a major Trade transformation program
• Drive process mapping, gap analysis, and improvement opportunities
• 4 month contract - 4 days a week offering up to $850 inc super

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a major Trade transformation program on a contract.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role embedded within a cross-functional transformation initiative aimed at simplifying and improving end-to-end Trade processes across the business.

You will act as the critical link between subject matter experts (SMEs) and delivery teams, extracting deep business knowledge, structuring it into clear process artefacts, and ensuring it translates into practical, implementable outcomes.

Without this role, analysis sits across project leadership, creating bottlenecks that impact delivery pace and quality. This role ensures that doesn't happen.

What you'll be doing

Process Analysis & Documentation

• Facilitate workshops with SMEs to map end-to-end Trade processes, including pricing, customer SLA support processes, and supply operations
• Document current-state processes in a structured way that enables gap analysis and future-state design
• Translate complex business workflows into clear, implementable process designs

Insight & Continuous Improvement

• Analyse SME input to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and breakdowns across people, process, and systems
• Identify and prioritise quick wins and medium-term improvements for delivery within the program lifecycle
• Support identification of time and cost-saving opportunities, including quantifying benefits where possible

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to validate processes and align on improvements
• Act as the single point of continuity across Trade processes, ensuring consistency across teams
• Bridge gaps between business, operations, and delivery teams
• Identify opportunities where AI and automation can improve business processes
• Contribute to embedding smarter, more efficient ways of working

Delivery Support (where required)

• Support development of business requirements and functional specifications
• Assist broader program BA activities as needed

What you'll bring

• Experience as a Business Analyst or Process Analyst in commercial, supply chain, or complex operational environments
• Experience working in customer-facing and/or operational environments, with an understanding of end-to-end service delivery
• Strong workshop facilitation skills and ability to extract information from SMEs in fast-paced environments
• Strong process mapping experience (current state, future state, gap analysis)
• Ability to structure ambiguity into clear, actionable documentation
• Strong communication skills, able to simplify complex processes
• Experience working in cross-functional delivery environments
• Exposure to AI, automation, or process improvement initiatives (highly regarded)
• Experience in Trade, pricing, or supply operations is an advantage but not essential
