AI Security Analyst - AWS & Cloud

This role focuses on identifying, assessing and mitigating risks in AI platforms, ensuring systems are secure, compliant and resilient.

About the Role

As an AI Security Analyst, you'll play a key role in protecting AI systems, including models, data, and pipelines, from evolving threats and misuse.

• Protect AI systems from security risks, misuse and unintended behaviour

• Conduct vulnerability assessments, break testing, and ongoing monitoring

• Design and implement controls across prompts, inputs, guardrails, and data protection

• Secure RAG pipelines (retrieval integrity, embedding security, prompt injection risks)

• Implement scalable and automated AI security best practices

• Monitor systems using observability tools to maintain security, compliance, and performance

• Investigate and respond to AI security incidents

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uplift security posture

• Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Support Agile delivery through active participation in sprint activities

Skills & Experience

• 2+ years' experience securing AI systems (models, prompts, pipelines, data)

• Hands-on experience with vulnerability testing, monitoring, and incident response

• Experience implementing AI security controls (prompt security, guardrails, data protection)

• Strong DevSecOps background with automation/scripting skills

• Solid understanding of AI/ML and cloud fundamentals (AWS preferred)

• Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 42001, Essential Eight or similar)

• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or similar

• CISSP or similar certification

• AWS Security or cloud certifications

• Experience in enterprise cloud environments

• Exposure to DevOps/GitOps (CI/CD pipelines)

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Agile delivery experience
