An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-scale AI solutions within a complex government environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on AI specialist passionate about delivering secure, scalable, and governed AI capabilities that create meaningful business outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders, architects, cyber security teams, and data specialists to develop innovative AI-enabled services leveraging the latest Microsoft AI technologies.
About the Role As the Senior AI Engineer, you will be responsible for building and delivering production-ready AI solutions, including AI agents, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) platforms, intelligent automation solutions, and enterprise integrations.
You will play a key role in ensuring AI solutions meet governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI requirements while delivering measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions using Azure AI and Microsoft technologies.
- Develop AI agents, copilots, RAG solutions, and intelligent workflow automation capabilities.
- Build intuitive front-end experiences that drive adoption and business value.
- Develop APIs, integrations, and microservices connecting AI capabilities with enterprise systems.
- Design vector search, document intelligence, and data ingestion pipelines.
- Conduct AI testing, evaluation, validation, and performance assessments.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and AI Agents.
- Strong expertise in Python and modern AI development practices.
- Experience designing and implementing RAG architectures, vector databases, and semantic search solutions.
- Demonstrated experience integrating AI capabilities with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and business platforms.
- Knowledge of agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, Microsoft Agent Framework, or similar technologies.
- Exposure to FastAPI, .NET, Node.js, and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of AI red teaming, prompt injection testing, and Responsible AI frameworks.
- Experience supporting AI adoption and organisational capability uplift initiatives.
