Senior Network Engineer 
Essential 8 Upgrade Project 
6-Month Contract 

We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation to secure an experienced Senior Network Engineer for a key Essential 8 Upgrade Project.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with strong enterprise networking experience, a security-focused mindset, and expertise across Akamai CDN, DNS Security, Firewalls and F5 Load Balancers

The Role
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering, supporting and optimising critical network infrastructure within a large-scale enterprise environment. You'll work alongside an existing engineer and contribute to the delivery of the Essential 8 Upgrade Project, helping to strengthen the organisation's network security posture and modernise key infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise network infrastructure
• Manage and optimise LAN and WAN environments
• Administer and support Cisco and/or Palo Alto firewalls
• Support DNS Security solutions and Akamai CDN services
• Configure and maintain F5 technologies, including LTM, GTM and BIG-IQ
• Support SD-WAN environments and network connectivity initiatives
• Deliver project outcomes and take ownership of assigned technical deliverables
• Troubleshoot complex networking and security issues
• Produce technical documentation, standards and support procedures
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across the organisation

About You

You will bring:

• Strong Senior Network Engineering experience
• Deep Cisco networking knowledge across LAN and WAN environments
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Palo Alto Firewalls
• Experience with DNS Security solutions
• Akamai CDN experience
• Strong F5 experience (LTM, GTM and BIG-IQ)
• SD-WAN experience
• Strong network security expertise
• Experience delivering network projects end-to-end
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working within large enterprise environments
