We're partnering with a globally recognised mining technology organisation seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a high-performing Agile delivery team delivering technology that supports critical mining operations.

This role sits within a specialised mining technology environment, helping shape and deliver capabilities that provide operational visibility, fleet management, automation, equipment health monitoring and real-time decision support across large-scale mining operations. You'll work closely with engineers, QA, stakeholders and product leadership to ensure delivery priorities are clear, refined and aligned with business outcomes.

What you'll be doing

• Own and maintain the team backlog, ensuring work is prioritised and delivery-ready
• Translate business needs into well-defined features, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Drive backlog refinement activities and prepare work for upcoming sprints
• Support sprint planning by presenting priorities and facilitating delivery discussions
• Provide day-to-day clarification and decision-making during delivery
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align priorities and delivery expectations
• Coordinate dependencies and resolve delivery impediments across teams
• Validate and accept completed work against agreed acceptance criteria
• Ensure quality outcomes are achieved before release
• Maintain visibility of planned work, progress and delivery commitments

What you need to bring

• Proven experience as a Product Owner within Agile delivery environments
• Strong backlog management, prioritisation and refinement skills
• Experience writing and managing user stories, features and acceptance criteria
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and sprint-based delivery
• Experience working with delivery management tools such as Azure DevOps
• Ability to balance stakeholder needs with delivery realities
• Strong communication skills across both business and technical audiences
• Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions and remove ambiguity for delivery teams

Bonus points for

• Experience working within mining, resources or industrial technology environments
• Exposure to operational technology or enterprise software delivery
• Familiarity with mining technology platforms and operational systems
• Experience working in complex, dependency-rich delivery environments

• This role will require the successful candidate to work on site in Brisbane full-time 5 days per week.
