We're partnering with a globally recognised mining technology organisation seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a high-performing Agile delivery team delivering technology that supports critical mining operations.
This role sits within a specialised mining technology environment, helping shape and deliver capabilities that provide operational visibility, fleet management, automation, equipment health monitoring and real-time decision support across large-scale mining operations. You'll work closely with engineers, QA, stakeholders and product leadership to ensure delivery priorities are clear, refined and aligned with business outcomes.

What you'll be doing
- Own and maintain the team backlog, ensuring work is prioritised and delivery-ready
- Translate business needs into well-defined features, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Drive backlog refinement activities and prepare work for upcoming sprints
- Support sprint planning by presenting priorities and facilitating delivery discussions
- Provide day-to-day clarification and decision-making during delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align priorities and delivery expectations
- Coordinate dependencies and resolve delivery impediments across teams
- Validate and accept completed work against agreed acceptance criteria
- Ensure quality outcomes are achieved before release
- Maintain visibility of planned work, progress and delivery commitments
What you need to bring
- Proven experience as a Product Owner within Agile delivery environments
- Strong backlog management, prioritisation and refinement skills
- Experience writing and managing user stories, features and acceptance criteria
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and sprint-based delivery
- Experience working with delivery management tools such as Azure DevOps
- Ability to balance stakeholder needs with delivery realities
- Strong communication skills across both business and technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions and remove ambiguity for delivery teams
Bonus points for
- Experience working within mining, resources or industrial technology environments
- Exposure to operational technology or enterprise software delivery
- Familiarity with mining technology platforms and operational systems
- Experience working in complex, dependency-rich delivery environments
