We're partnering with a globally recognised mining technology organisation to recruit an experienced Capability Lead.

Supporting enterprise-scale technology platforms and production-focused solutions, this role sits within multidisciplinary delivery teams responsible for driving high-value outcomes across complex software and data initiatives. Acting as the key point of coordination between product, engineering and business stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in ensuring work is prioritised, planned and delivered effectively.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Agile practitioner who combines the facilitation and delivery leadership of a Scrum Master with the prioritisation mindset typically associated with Product Ownership. Working closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads and Engineering Managers, you'll help guide delivery, manage dependencies, remove obstacles and ensure teams remain focused on the highest-value work.

What you'll be doing

• Lead Agile delivery across teams
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies
• Drive backlog readiness and planning
• Support work prioritisation activities
• Remove blockers and delivery risks
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies
• Track delivery progress and commitments
• Improve team flow and predictability
• Support release and implementation planning
• Balance features, defects and technical debt
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders
• Maintain visibility of risks and priorities
• Communicate delivery status to stakeholders
• Ensure work meets Definition of Done
• Champion continuous improvement practices

What you need to bring

• Experience as a Capability Lead, Scrum Master or Delivery Lead
• Agile delivery experience in technology environments
• Strong Scrum and Kanban knowledge
• Product backlog and prioritisation experience
• Agile facilitation and coaching skills
• Cross-functional stakeholder management capability
• Experience managing dependencies and risks
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Azure DevOps, Jira or similar experience
• Software delivery lifecycle knowledge
• Backlog refinement and planning expertise
• Experience working with technical teams
• Data-driven approach to delivery improvement

Bonus points for

• Mining technology industry experience
• Operational or industrial technology exposure
• Product Owner and/or Business Analysis background
• Enterprise data platform experience
• Distributed team experience
• Vendor or partner management exposure

• Full working rights required
• This role will require the successful candidate to work on site in Brisbane full-time 5 days per week.
• Remote applicants will not be considered.
