12 month contract
Full-time onsite work required – Brisbane CBD / Remote applicants will not be considered
Up to $1000 per day (up to $892 plus Superannuation)

We're partnering with a globally recognised mining technology organisation to recruit an experienced Release Train Engineer.

This role sits within a large-scale software delivery program supporting an integrated suite of mining technology products that enable real-time guidance, fleet monitoring, tracking, automation, and operational decision-making across mining operations globally.

You'll lead one Agile Release Train consisting of approximately six teams and 60 people, helping drive alignment, transparency, execution excellence, and continuous improvement across a complex, internationally distributed environment operating at significant scale.

What you'll be doing

• Lead PI Planning and SAFe ceremonies
• Facilitate ART Syncs and Scrum of Scrums
• Coach teams in SAFe and Lean-Agile practices
• Align delivery with business priorities
• Manage cross-team dependencies
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks
• Drive continuous value delivery
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders
• Promote quality and delivery excellence
• Remove blockers impacting teams
• Provide clear stakeholder communication
• Report on ART health and progress
• Analyse flow metrics and trends
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to bring

• Experience leading Agile delivery at scale
• Strong SAFe and Lean-Agile expertise
• RTE or similar Agile leadership experience
• Experience managing multiple Agile teams
• Proven dependency and risk management skills
• Strong facilitation and workshop skills
• Stakeholder engagement experience
• Ability to influence without authority
• Strong coaching and mentoring capability
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
• Data-driven reporting experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Continuous improvement mindset

Bonus points for

• SAFe RTE certification
• Experience in 250+ person programmes
• Exposure to multiple Agile Release Trains
• Portfolio delivery experience
• Azure DevOps or Jira expertise
• Mining or industrial technology experience

• Full working rights required
• This role will require the successful candidate to work on site in Brisbane full-time 5 days per week.
