We're partnering with the Queensland State Government to recruit two experienced Project Managers to support the delivery of a significant biosecurity and environmental management initiative.

Sitting within the Program Delivery team, these roles will focus on either Efficacy or Knowledge Management and Governance, providing critical project leadership during a period of operational planning and program transition. You'll work closely with business leaders, technical specialists and key stakeholders to coordinate delivery, strengthen governance practices and ensure strategic priorities are translated into measurable outcomes.

What you'll be doing

• Lead projects using established delivery frameworks.
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Manage resources, milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor progress and provide stakeholder reporting.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies.
• Escalate key decisions and delivery risks.
• Coordinate project governance activities.
• Track project performance and forecasts.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support change implementation activities.
• Partner with communications teams on engagement activities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams when required.

Efficacy Project Manager

• Translate strategy into deliverable outcomes.
• Support operational readiness initiatives.
• Establish structured monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate activities across key stakeholders.

Knowledge Management & Document Registers Project Manager

• Manage knowledge management frameworks.
• Oversee document control processes.
• Maintain governance registers and repositories.
• Ensure information accuracy and accessibility.
• Support audit readiness and decision traceability.

What you need to bring

• Experience delivering complex projects.
• Strong planning and scheduling capability.
• Project governance and reporting experience.
• Budget, resource and risk management skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Change implementation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.

Bonus points for

• PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
• MSP certification.
• Business process modelling experience.
• Business change management experience.
• Exposure to biosecurity or environmental programs.
• Experience in large government environments.

Important to know

• This role will require the successful candidate to work on site at Berrinba, QLD.
