We're partnering with the Queensland State Government to recruit an experienced Learning Specialist for a major digital transformation program focused on modernising information, records and content management practices across the organisation.

As the program moves into delivery, you will play a key role in designing and delivering engaging learning solutions that support adoption of a new enterprise-wide platform and ways of working. Working within a dedicated Organisational Design and Change team, you'll combine instructional design, facilitation and stakeholder engagement expertise to drive capability uplift and business readiness across a diverse stakeholder group.


What you'll be doing

• Develop learning curricula, pathways, lesson plans and storyboards
• Partner with subject matter experts to design learning solutions
• Create engaging eLearning, training materials and support resources
• Design interactive activities, gamification and knowledge checks
• Apply adult learning and instructional design principles
• Review and enhance existing learning content
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions and practice labs
• Deliver drop-in support sessions for end users
• Schedule, track and report on learning activities
• Monitor learner progress and training completion
• Analyse feedback, performance metrics and skills gaps
• Identify and mitigate learning risks and issues
• Work with technical teams to address learning needs
• Support stakeholder engagement, communications and business readiness activities

What you need to bring

• Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar Learning Specialist, Learning Consultant or Instructional Design role
• Tertiary qualifications in instructional design, education, change management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning theories
• Proven experience designing and delivering learning programs end-to-end
• Experience developing curricula, learning pathways and assessments
• Demonstrated experience within ICT programs or project environments
• Strong experience using Articulate and online learning platforms
• Proficiency with SharePoint Online
• Experience administering or supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and presentation skills
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and project coordination skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Commitment to inclusive and accessible learning design

Bonus points for

• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
• Previous experience in government or highly regulated environments
• Experience supporting enterprise technology transformations
• Exposure to information, records or content management platforms
