The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on Solutions Engineer to join a growing healthcare technology environment, working at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and clinical systems. This role sits between pre-sales and delivery-partnering closely with customers, sales teams, and project teams to design, scope, and support secure, scalable solutions.

This is not a pure architecture role-it's ideal for someone who enjoys being technically involved, working directly with customers, and shaping solutions from early engagement through to implementation.

What You'll Be Doing

Customer Engagement & Solution Design

• Work closely with customers during pre-sales to understand their full IT landscape
• Define solution scope including infrastructure, hosting, and security requirements
• Act as the bridge between sales and delivery teams

Architecture & Technical Scoping

• Design deployment models across cloud (AWS), on-prem, and hybrid environments
• Scope and document system architecture, including integrations and data flows
• Contribute to tenders and contracts, particularly around security requirements

Infrastructure, Cloud & Security

• Lead discussions around VPN connectivity, firewalls, AWS VPCs, and secure access
• Design solutions involving single sign-on (SSO), identity providers, and integrations
• Ensure alignment with healthcare security and compliance standards

Documentation & Delivery Support

• Produce detailed technical build and solution documentation
• Support implementation teams with clear design and best practice guidance
• Stay involved across the full lifecycle-from early design through to deployment

About You

You're a technically strong, customer-facing engineer who enjoys solving real-world problems in healthcare environments. You're hands-on, practical, and confident engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Experience

• 3+ years in healthcare IT environments (ideally hospital networks)
• Strong background in infrastructure, security, and cloud technologies
• Experience with VPNs, SSO, identity management, and system integrations
• Exposure to EHR systems, clinical workflows, or healthcare interfaces

Technical Skills

• AWS (VPCs, hosting), networking, firewalls, web applications
• Understanding of HL7, FHIR, and healthcare compliance frameworks
• Strong knowledge of security architecture and secure system design

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions
• Comfortable working across multiple projects and priorities

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
