We're partnering with a well-established organisation in the design industry to find a Head of Digital & Technology who can bring structure, direction and innovation to their technology landscape.
This is a newly created leadership role with a genuine opportunity to influence how technology supports the business now and into the future. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you'll be responsible for shaping the technology strategy, improving systems and processes, driving adoption of new technologies, and ensuring the business has the right foundations in place to support continued growth.
The organisation has reached a point where technology can play a much bigger role in improving collaboration, streamlining workflows and unlocking new ways of working. They're looking for someone who can see the bigger picture but is also comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
What you'll be doing
You'll take ownership of the technology roadmap and work closely with leaders across the business to understand challenges, identify opportunities and deliver practical solutions.
- Developing and executing a technology strategy aligned to business objectives
- Improving how systems connect across the organisation to create a more seamless user experience
- Driving better use of data, reporting and business insights
- Identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency and productivity
- Overseeing the Microsoft environment, including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform and Copilot
- Managing technology vendors and managed service providers to ensure strong service delivery and value for investment
- Supporting the adoption of new tools and technologies across the business
- Creating governance, standards and processes that provide structure without adding unnecessary complexity
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys building and improving environments rather than simply maintaining them.
- You may currently be a Head of Technology, Digital Lead, IT Manager or similar and have experience leading technology strategy within a mid-sized organisation.
- Experience leading technology, digital transformation or systems improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies and modern workplace platforms
- Experience working with cloud-based environments and cybersecurity best practices
- Proven experience managing external vendors and technology partners
The ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business
- A practical approach to problem-solving and delivering outcomes
- Experience introducing structure, governance and scalable processes in growing organisations
Experience working within design, engineering, consulting or other professional services environments would be highly regarded.
