Clicks IT Recruitment is proud to be partnering with City of Kingston Council to appoint a Head of Technology Platforms & Architecture within their Information & Digital Technology team.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced business applications, platforms or enterprise systems leader with a strong architectural and integration lens.
The role reports to the Manager Information & Digital Technology and leads a team spanning application services, data, spatial analysis, technical integration and systems analysis.

About the Role
This is not a pure senior technical role. It will suit someone who can lead enterprise application teams, guide platform uplift, strengthen integration capability and connect technology decisions with business outcomes.
You will lead the maintenance, improvement and strategic development of Council's key corporate systems and technology platforms, while partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors to improve business performance, customer service and organisational outcomes.
The role has accountability for application maintenance and improvement plans, budgeting, reporting, application integration frameworks, business analysis leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:
City of Kingston Council is looking for a senior technology leader who can combine strategic thinking, people leadership, stakeholder engagement and practical delivery.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in IT, management or a related field
- Demonstrated experience managing and administering large corporate applications
- Experience leading enterprise application, business systems or platform teams
- Demonstrated experience leading change and adoption of contemporary technologies
- Experience implementing and integrating complex information systems
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, application integration and business process improvement
- Experience with vendor management, service delivery and continuous improvement within best-practice frameworks
- Strong leadership capability, including the ability to lead, motivate and develop experienced teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
- Experience preparing business cases, supporting procurement and advising senior leadership
Experience with Office 365, Microsoft SQL Server, data structuring, data migration, Power BI, UX, Agile, PRINCE2 or similar project methodologies will be highly regarded.
Exposure to integration platforms such as Infor-ION, Microsoft Power Apps, MuleSoft or Dell Boomi would also be advantageous.
