About your role
As the Information Security Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation's cyber security capability, leading the ongoing uplift in maturity, particularly across Essential Eight controls, while strengthening governance, architecture and operational security.
This role will see you drive a pragmatic and scalable security strategy across a Microsoft-heavy environment, working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver secure, effective outcomes. You will lead initiatives across identity, endpoint, network and cloud security, embedding a modern, risk-based approach aligned to evolving threats and best practice.
You'll be responsible for building capability, enhancing frameworks and ensuring the organisation maintains a resilient security posture. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll provide clear guidance to senior stakeholders on risk, compliance and strategic priorities, while fostering a strong culture of cyber awareness across the business.
You'll be working closely with a highly regarded leader who promotes high-trust leadership, continuous development, and an intent-based leadership style; giving you autonomy while supporting your growth and progression.
What you'll do
- Lead and execute the cyber security strategy and roadmap
- Drive uplift in Essential Eight maturity and Zero Trust adoption
- Oversee security operations including EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management and incident response
- Manage identity and access management, including privileged access controls
- Partner with vendors and service providers to deliver secure outcomes
- Lead threat detection, response planning and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks, policies and risk standards
- Build organisation-wide security awareness and capability
What you bring
- Extensive experience in senior cyber security roles across infrastructure and network environments
- Proven capability in developing and delivering security strategy and architecture
- Strong understanding of risk management, threat landscapes and security frameworks
- Deep technical expertise across cloud, network and identity security
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management capability
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Security or similar are highly regarded.
