About your role
As the IT Governance & Architecture Manager, you will shape and govern the organisation's technology landscape, aligning strategy, architecture and risk. You'll drive the maturity of IT frameworks, governance and compliance while influencing decisions across platforms, data and emerging technologies.
A key focus of the role is bringing structure and clarity to governance through strong documentation and process. You'll build and uplift documentation, map current state environments, and develop clear 1, 2 and 5-year roadmaps to guide the organisation's technology direction.
You'll operate in a highly process-driven environment, working closely with governance forums including the IT Change Committee, ensuring decisions are well-documented, repeatable and aligned to risk and compliance objectives.
You'll be working closely with a highly regarded leader who promotes high-trust leadership, continuous development, and an intent-based leadership style; giving you autonomy while supporting your growth and progression.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and governance of IT frameworks, policies and standards
- Drive IT governance, risk and compliance activities across the organisation
- Oversee audit findings, risk registers and remediation activities
- Establish and support governance forums such as architecture review boards and steering committees
- Document current state architecture and define future state roadmaps (1, 2 and 5-year)
- Build, uplift and maintain structured documentation, processes and artefacts
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing
- Partner with vendors and service providers to ensure effective and compliant delivery
What you bring
- Extensive experience in IT governance, architecture or similar leadership roles
- Proven capability in developing and embedding IT frameworks, documentation and governance models
- Strong understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory environments
- Experience mapping current state environments and developing strategic roadmaps
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence without direct authority
- Certifications or exposure to frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL or ISO standards are highly regarded
