Cyber Security Engineer

Cyber Engineer - Permanent | Kensington, VIC (Hybrid)

Join a forward-thinking organisation focused on strengthening its cyber resilience and defence capabilities. Our client is seeking a Cyber Engineer with hands-on experience across infrastructure, identity management, and modern security platforms.

What you'll do:

• Enhance cyber resilience through proactive maintenance, remediation, and automation.

• Implement and manage MFA, Conditional Access, and identity solutions across enterprise systems.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments, patching, and system hardening activities.

• Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Risk teams to enforce compliance and support incident response.

• Develop automation scripts and dashboards to monitor and report on system and security health.

What you'll bring:

• 5+ years' experience in enterprise Windows and Azure environments (O365, AD, MFA, Conditional Access).

• Strong understanding of NIST, Essential Eight, and cybersecurity best practices.

• Must have hands-on experience with XDR or MDR solutions for advanced threat detection and response.

• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, Sentinel) and vulnerability management.

• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell.
