About the Australian Dental Council
The ADC is the independent accreditation authority for Australia’s dental professions. It accredits education and training programs, assesses overseas-qualified practitioners and conducts written and practical clinical examinations.
The Opportunity
The Australian Dental Council is seeking an experienced Projects Manager who can build trust, introduce provide practical project management structure and deliver a varied portfolio of both business and technology-enabled projects.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Services, your key responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining the organisational project roadmap and identifying dependencies
* Maintaining practical plans, governance, reporting and documentation with a continuous improvement lens
* Managing budgets, risks, timelines, vendors and deliverables
* Working closely with technical specialists, internal SMEs, and external IT vendors.
* Translating between executive, operational, technical and financial stakeholders
* Supporting successful implementation, adoption and measurable outcomes
What will make you successful
You will be an experienced business Projects Manager who is comfortable working in a smaller, hands-on and highly collaborative organisation.
You will bring:
* Experience delivering multiple business and technology-enabled projects
* Strong planning, governance, budget, risk and vendor-management capability
* Confidence working with executives, operational teams and external partners
* Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills
* A practical, adaptable and outcomes-focused approach
* The ability to work effectively at both strategic and detailed levels
You will need enough technical understanding to communicate credibly with IT teams, but you do not need to be technically hands-on. Experience across systems implementation, corporate services, and operational improvement would be valuable. Exposure to education, healthcare, government, regulatory or not-for-profit environments would also be highly regarded.
