Senior Windows Systems Engineer

Are you a Senior Systems Engineer who thrives in large-scale transformation projects? This is an opportunity to play a key role in one of the most significant data centre migration programs currently underway in Australia.

This a leading and high-profile organisation is embarking on a critical initiative to modernise and relocate core infrastructure systems. You'll be joining an experienced project team responsible for the discovery, analysis, and migration of thousands of automation scripts supporting enterprise-wide operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead discovery and documentation of existing Python and PowerShell automation scripts across a complex enterprise environment.
• Use Tidal scheduling tools to migrate and manage job dependencies and scheduling in the new environment.
• Support the broader data centre relocation project, ensuring systems integrity and operational continuity.
• Collaborate with multiple infrastructure, application, and automation teams to streamline migration workflows.
• Get hands-on with technical delivery. This is not a purely advisory role!

What I'm Looking For

• Proven background as a Senior Systems Engineer (ideally in large, complex environments).
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware (ESXi, vCenter, clustering, storage) environments.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and Python scripting for automation, discovery, and migration.
• Familiarity with Tidal Enterprise Scheduler (or similar tools such as Control-M, Autosys, etc.).
• Comfortable working in hybrid infrastructure environments and someone who enjoys the "doing" and can "do" autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, able to collaborate across multiple technical streams.
