Automation Engineer

We're looking for an engineer who's passionate about designing and delivering control systems that keep the world moving toward a greener future - who thrives on big challenges and wants to make a real impact in the renewable energy sector.

In this role, you'll be working on some of the most exciting and complex projects in the industry. Your days will be spent collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients to bring automation solutions to life - from the first design meeting right through to commissioning and handover. You'll be hands-on with control systems, and your expertise with Ignition SCADA will be put to good use as you help shape the backbone of large-scale renewable energy installations.

The ideal candidate has already spent time in the renewables space and knows what it takes to deliver results on big, multifaceted projects. You'll need to be comfortable programming and configuring control systems, troubleshooting issues on the fly, and leading commissioning activities for major sites. Communication is key here - you'll be the go-to person for technical advice, and you'll work closely with clients to make sure their needs are met every step of the way.

About You

• 2-10 years experience in automation engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of PLC and SCADA programming/configuration.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Relationship builder with a customer service focus.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Current driver's license.
• (Desirable) Certified Practicing Engineer accreditation.
• (Desirable) Experience with Historian and MES systems.
