Requirements
As the Print Room Assistant, you are responsible for the delivery of print and design services within the Department.
You will use a wide range of electronic equipment to meet the printing needs of the Department and our strategic partners across government.
You will have the ability to juggle priorities, meet deadlines and negotiate printing time-frames.
You will have excellent attention to detail and have well developed oral and written communication skills. You will be responsible for maintaining written standard operating procedures and will ensure that all procedural information is kept up to date.
You will be able to manage a basic maintenance schedule with machinery suppliers and engage vendors as required when repairs are necessary.
You will be required to:
- Perform printing and publishing activities including production, finishing and binding of printed material.
- Respond to enquiries on printing and design matters made by internal and external stakeholders.
- Consult external vendors on job specifications and production requirements.
- Effectively manage the production, dissemination and storage of information to facilitate improved communication between the department and its stakeholders (both internal and external).
