Senior Software Tester

• 12-month contract + 2×12-month extensions
• Australian Citizenship with Baseline required

Are you a seasoned Software Tester with a passion for quality assurance and a knack for working in Agile environments? A high-impact federal government department is seeking multiple Senior Test Analysts to support critical ICT projects across grants management and enterprise platforms.

You'll be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality digital solutions that support national economic and scientific initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability and performance of web-based applications used across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review requirements and design test cases
• Conduct manual testing: functional, regression, integration, and UAT
• Manage test plans and defect tracking using Azure DevOps
• Validate accessibility compliance against WCAG standards
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
• Maintain test environments and data integrity

Key Skill required

• 5+ years of manual testing experience across desktop and cloud platforms
• Strong skills in test planning, execution, and defect management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Proven experience working in Agile teams
• Experience testing grants administration or financial systems
• Familiarity with government digital service standards
• Exposure to accessibility testing and automation tools
