Infrastructure Automation Specialist
$130 per hour
ACT
Contract
Our client is leading the charge in designing and validating future capability environments that support experimentation, concept demonstration, and integration decisions. This program is shaping the future of deployable ICT systems through cutting-edge digital modelling, standards management, and systems-of-systems integration.
As a Build Automation Technical Specialist, you'll join a small, results-driven team focused on streamlining the build, configuration, and deployment of ICT nodes. You'll be hands-on with scripting, automation, and orchestration tasks, contributing to the development of toolsets that reduce effort and cost. You'll also support disaster recovery design using VMware, maintain DevSecOps tooling, produce technical documentation, and provide training and advice to stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you'll need strong experience with PowerShell, Ansible, GitLab, Kubernetes, Microsoft and Linux systems, and the VMware datacentre suite. You'll be confident in automating patching, updates, and compliance checks, and managing version-controlled infrastructure. Ideally, you'll bring over a decade of experience in secure ICT systems within the Defence domain, and familiarity with standards like NIST, ISO 27001, or ASD Essential Eight. Experience with disconnected environments, hybrid cloud, and Defence-specific networks is highly desirable.
Due to security requirements, you must hold an active or reinstateable Negative Vetting 1 clearance or higher.
