The Great Outdoor Gyms

As the mercury rises across the country, you’d be forgiven for not wanting to spend your leisure time cooped up in a gym. If you’ve been working on that summer bod, you may as well flaunt it, right?! Well if you follow that line of thinking, the big question is, “How do I get my fitness fix in the summer sun?” You have a few options: you can go for a run or a cycle, you can join a team sport or you can go swimming at a public pool near you. This list is not exhaustive, but what is often overlooked on many outdoor exercise blogs are the vast amounts of open air gyms in your city. They provide you with a great opportunity to get some vitamin D, exercise in a social setting (heck, you can even bring your dog along) and check out a new area of your city. Best of all, they are totally free!
