Clicks IT Recruitment is currently working with a large federal government department based in the Brisbane CBD.
Currently they are looking for an IT Support Officer to join their team that provides support to a range of end users.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide responsive and high-quality 1st and 2nd level IT support.
Adequately cover Service Desk functions as required
Monitor and manage IT support requests through the Service Desk system
Ensuring issues are resolved and documented
Provide high quality customer engagement to various end users/stakeholders
Communicate technical information to non-technical members and staff
Test, install and maintain computers, peripherals, videoconferencing, software, logs and security systems as required.
Undertake project work as directed.
Experience providing 1st level and 2nd IT support in a Microsoft environment.
Experience within desktop support and service desk.
Understanding of networking and troubleshooting.
Experience installing and trouble-shooting PCs and peripherals.
Problem solving skills, Customer service and Strong customer service focus.
Ability to document solutions and communicate solutions to team members.
Ability to convey technical information to non-technical staff.
Due to the nature of work, Australian Citizenship is essential.
6 month initial contract offering extensions.
