Our client is a well-established organisation in the public sector, which has recently reached a critical milestone across a number of projects.
As such, they are looking for a Database Administrator to join their project team on a long term contract.
In this role, you will work with the Data Warehouse team and assist with the coordination, design and implementation of solution platforms.
Assist in development of complex ingestion pipelines/ETL/ELT using SSIS, Azure Data Factory.
Assist with automation of tasks and processes to innovate and improve.
Build monitoring and alerting mechanisms for data pipelines and transformations.
Carries out agreed operational procedures of a routine nature, such as systems build, maintenance and problem resolution.
Implement, configure, and ensure delivery of Microsoft solutions based around the Azure Data platform.
Key Skills and Experience:
3+ years' experience in DBA, Data Operations, or similar role.
Experience in Deploying and supporting Azure services.
Hands on experience with ETL/ELT tools; Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
Hands on experience building and supporting Microsoft Data platforms such as; SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse/SQL DW/SQL Pools, Azure Data Lake.
Experience with SQL programming, including query optimisation.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, GIT.
Knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies.
6-12 month contract.
