Data Analyst

Clicks IT Recruitment is partnering with a client seeking a skilled Data Analyst to drive data-driven insights and support critical business decisions.

In this role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights, develop visual dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance decision-making and support organisational goals.

The Role:

• 5 month contract.
• Brisbane CBD location.
• Rates: $878 p/d inc super OR + GST

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, refine, and organise datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data accuracy and reliability for analysis.
• Analyse complex data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights, delivering clear and actionable reports and visual presentations for stakeholders.
• Develop dynamic dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Azure Services to simplify decision-making and track data quality during system upgrades or migrations.
• Collaborate across departments to understand data requirements and provide analytical support for projects and initiatives.
• Establish and execute data validation techniques to identify and resolve inconsistencies or anomalies within datasets.
• Assist in data mapping and transformation processes during system transitions, ensuring seamless alignment with new data models.
• Support post-migration activities by verifying and validating the accuracy of transferred data against established quality benchmarks.
• Keep informed of advancements in data analytics practices and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and methodologies.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in tools like SQL, Excel, Python, or R, with proven experience in extracting insights from large datasets.
• Expertise in creating data visualisations using platforms such as Power BI and working within cloud-based environments like Azure.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
• Experience implementing robust data quality controls and conducting thorough data analyses, especially in large-scale migration contexts.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively share findings with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations that drive organisational success.
