Clicks IT Recruitment is seeking an ICT Procurement Specialist for a government client.
In this role, you will lead high-value ICT procurement activities, manage contracts and tenders, assess risks, and ensure compliance with QITC/GITC frameworks.
The Role:
- 12 Months contract
- Rates: $market rates$
- Location: Brisbane, CBD
- Hybrid engagement - work from home / split.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement approaches to achieve business objectives within regulatory frameworks.
- Assess and manage procurement risks, providing expert advice on strategic sourcing.
- Conduct market research and planning to support procurement and contracting strategies.Refine specifications to ensure clear and accurate business requirements.
- Prepare tender documentation, including evaluation plans, in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance with probity requirements.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, aligning with business needs and stakeholder expectations.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies for high-value and high-risk contracts.
- Represent procurement in meetings and committees as required.
- Stay up to date with procurement policies, contract law, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure ethical, transparent, and compliant procurement and contract processes.
- Manage contracts and supplier performance effectively.
- Perform additional procurement-related duties as needed.
- Meet performance metrics and reporting requirements.
- Experience across both public and private sectors is highly desirable.
