Data Information Architect

A Queensland government is looking for Integration Specialist to join their project team.

In this role, you will design and manage the organisation's data architecture and information systems.

This role builds a data framework to ensure integrity, accessibility, and security, making data a strategic asset for decision-making and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data architecture frameworks aligned with business and organisational goals.
• Lead data migration strategies, defining transformation rules, and validating data quality for optimal use.
• Design data integration frameworks to ensure smooth, secure data flow and establish governance practices for accuracy and security.
• Provide expert guidance on data architecture and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into designs.
• Assess and recommend tools and platforms to enhance data integration, storage, and retrieval capabilities.
• Create thorough documentation of data architectures, transformation logic, and designs for transparency and team alignment.

Key Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in data architecture, governance, and managing enterprise-level migrations in large data environments.
• Detail-oriented with experience ensuring data accuracy and integrity, including using data validation and migration tools.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• 5-7+ years of experience in data migration/management with a proven track record in complex projects.
• Proficient in data migration tools, ETL processes, database management, and Azure data services, including Azure DataHub.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, CDMP, or Data Architecture) are highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP solutions and Azure products is an advantage.

On offer is a 5 month contract, at $1,175 per day inc super OR + GST, based in the Brisbane CBD on a hybrid work arrangement.
