Clicks IT Recruitment and NSW Electoral Commission are partnering to appoint an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to its Technology Group on a full time basis.
About the Role
This is a genuinely hands-on Azure role for someone who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure, security, identity, automation and Microsoft 365. You’ll join the NSW Electoral Commission’s Technology Group and play an important part in designing, improving and supporting its hybrid cloud environment, while contributing to cloud migration, transformation and technology uplift initiatives.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll work across a broad Microsoft Cloud environment, including:
- Designing and supporting secure Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Supporting cloud migration and transformation initiatives
- Managing Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring and security
- Working with Azure Landing Zones and secure cloud architecture
- Managing Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Conditional Access, PIM, RBAC and MFA
- Using PowerShell, Bicep/ARM and Infrastructure as Code
- Working with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Microsoft Sentinel, KQL and Log Analytics
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Intune and Defender technologies
- Identifying opportunities to improve automation, security, performance and cost efficiency
About you
We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with:
- Strong, recent and hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
- You should be comfortable across Azure IaaS and PaaS, cloud networking and security, Infrastructure as Code, automation, identity management and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with technologies such as Azure Landing Zones, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute, Sentinel, KQL, Azure Arc, Entra ID, Intune, Defender and Azure DevOps will be particularly relevant.
