Contract: 12 Months + 6 Month Extension Option

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support a major data transformation initiative focused on the migration, governance, and quality assurance of complex business datasets within a modern Microsoft data environment.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support a major data transformation initiative focused on the migration, governance, and quality assurance of complex business datasets within a modern Microsoft data environment.
This role will play a key part in ensuring data is securely migrated, governed, and managed in accordance with enterprise standards while supporting business readiness and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the migration of complex datasets into Microsoft Fabric and associated enterprise data platforms.
- Conduct data profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Develop and maintain data governance artefacts, including metadata, data dictionaries, stewardship arrangements, and data quality controls.
- Assist with privacy, security, and compliance activities, including support for Privacy Threshold Assessments (PTA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).
- Contribute to governance reporting, risk management, audit readiness, and executive reporting requirements.
- Support business readiness activities, documentation, handover processes, and transition to business-as-usual operation
Skills & Experience Required
- Technical knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft data platform concepts, data integration patterns, reporting environments and secure data-handling practices.
- Governance capability: Experience supporting data dictionaries, metadata management, data ownership, stewardship arrangements, access controls, data quality controls and evidence-based assurance activities.
- Privacy and legal collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work with Legal Services, privacy officers and privacy lawyers to support Privacy Threshold Assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments, privacy collection notices and related privacy-by-design activities.
- Security clearance and information handling: Baseline security clearance as a minimum, with demonstrated judgement and ability to access, manage and work with information classified up to PROTECTED where authorised, including sensitive personal and operational information.
- Stakeholder engagement: Strong ability to work across business, ICT, cyber security, enterprise architecture, data governance, legal, privacy and vendor stakeholders, and to translate technical and governance requirements into practical business actions.
- Communication and documentation: Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise artefacts suitable for project governance, executive reporting, audit, assurance and procurement contexts.
