PKI Engineer

We're partnering with an enterprise client on a major security program focused on modernising certificate lifecycle management and preparing for future cryptographic requirements.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to an experienced PKI specialist who can build, automate and manage enterprise certificate services at scale. You'll play a key role in delivering a multi-year program focused on automation, secure certificate management and the adoption of emerging cryptographic standards.
Working alongside security, infrastructure and project teams, you'll help deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce security risk and support the busienss's long-term security strategy.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and manage enterprise PKI infrastructure
• Develop and automate certificate lifecycle management processes
• Configure and manage Certificate Authorities (CA) and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
• Support large-scale web certificate management and renewal programs
• Implement secure cryptographic solutions and authentication services
• Develop PKI standards, policies and operational procedures
• Work closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure and application teams
• Contribute to future initiatives including post-quantum cryptography planning
• Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operational runbooks

About You

We're looking for a practical engineer who enjoys delivering outcomes rather than producing strategy presentations.
You'll ideally bring experience in:

• Enterprise PKI environments
• Certificate Authorities and certificate management
• Cryptography and authentication technologies
• Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
• Automation, scripting and workflow development
• Web certificate management at scale
• Security infrastructure projects
• Working independently with minimal supervision
