OT Support Engineer – Managed Services
Full-time Permanent


We are partnering with an established automation and renewable energy technology organisation to build a brand-new Managed Services team and is looking for several OT Support Engineers to support its growing portfolio of automation, renewable energy and critical operational technology solutions.

Role
As an OT Support Engineer, you will join a newly established Managed Services team providing Tier 1 support for operational technology environments.
You will work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, maintain documentation and help ensure critical operational systems remain reliable and supported.
This role is particularly suited to someone with experience in OT or industrial environments, rather than a purely traditional corporate IT support background.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing Tier 1 support across operational customer environments
• Troubleshooting OT systems, networks and automation solutions
• Supporting SCADA, PLC and RTAC environments
• Assisting with OT network and automation-related issues
• Working directly with customers to understand and resolve issues
• Managing customer expectations and providing clear technical updates
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, procedures and knowledge articles
• Escalating complex incidents to the appropriate engineering/project teams
• Supporting cyber security and renewable energy environments
• Contributing to the development of Managed Services processes and support frameworks
• Participating in a rotating shift roster and providing 24/7 operational support

About You
We're looking for someone with a genuine background in Operational Technology, automation or industrial systems support.
You will ideally have experience with some of the following:

• Operational Technology (OT) support
• Managed Services environments
• SCADA
• PLC environments
• RTAC
• OT networking
• Industrial automation
• Control systems
• Renewable energy or utilities environments
• Basic automation and scripting
• Experience within the renewable energy or utilities sector will be highly regarded.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Location & Working Arrangements
Melbourne is preferred, however candidates based in the following locations will also be considered Brisbane, Hobart, Launceston, Devonport
The role operates on a hybrid basis, with approximately 3–4 days per week in the office during standard day shifts. Night shifts can be worked from home.
The position is based on a 38-hour working week, with on-call and shift allowances provided.
