The Government Enterprise Resource Planning program is delivering a common whole-of-government ERP system. An Enterprise Resource Planning system comprises a number of essential corporate capabilities to deliver services, including: financial services, human resource services, procurement services and reporting.
This program is after Finance Analyst to support the program by providing general finance professionals skills and experience in an ERP system. The role requires expertise in financial analysts that covers Finance apply work knowledge, precedent, legislation, policy, procedures and guidelines to situations involving a high level of complexity and sensitivity which require considerable interpretation and analysis.
Key Duties may include some or all of the following:
Analysis, interpretation, evaluation and reporting of operational, administered and project outcomes;
Build and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging in frequent liaison and negotiation activities;
Development, management, improvement and promulgation of resource management and financial governance policy, and accounting practices, across program with a whole of government and broad geographical base in accordance with Commonwealth Resource Management framework and statutory reporting requirements;
Lead and manage change across the whole of government stakeholders, taking responsibility for implementing continuous improvement processes and business planning;
Make balanced decisions using professional judgement while maintaining an understanding of the whole of government strategic environment;
Monitoring compliance, and providing assurance to the project/program, on legislative compliance, resource management, financial governance and financial reporting;
Oversee and prepare a range of written material including various reports, Cabinet and Senate Estimates Submissions, discussion papers, Ministerial and agency briefs;
Provide high-level representation at multi-agency meetings and forums;
Provide independent assessment and recommendation such as to the Executive regarding the strategic view of future budgets, including major revenue and expenses impacts, funding and capital pressures;
Provide leadership and management of staff including development, coaching, performance management and conflict resolution; and * Provide sound and timely financial management advice to the Division and Executive on a variety of financial and business issues.
