Our highly innovative and progressive client are currently on the search for a Product Owner to join their team. In this role you will join the Product Management function and oversee 4 squads sitting across 3 separate locations. With a focus on innovation, automation and safety this role will be heavily involved in program backlog refinement and prep for Program Increment (PI) planning and also play a significant role in the planning events.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining the team backlog
Iteration Planning
Just-in-time story elaboration
Apply Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
Accepting stories - The PO works with the team to agree on accepted story completion. This includes validating that the story meets acceptance criteria, that it has the appropriate, persistent acceptance tests, and that it otherwise complies with its Definition of Done (DoD). In so doing, the PO also assures a level of quality, focusing primarily on fitness for use.
Understand enabler work - Collaborate with System and Solution Architects/Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the critical technological infrastructures
Participate in team demo and retrospective.
Skills Required:
Strong customer focus
Experience leading agile teams
Experience with agile methodologies, especially SAFe
Experience with engineering based Product Development
Willingness to learn and consistent approach to self-development and improvement.
Willingness to take on-board and provide feedback to colleagues, junior staff, and leaders.
Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills.
Strong Iteration Management Skills.
Strong Agile and other Project Management knowledge.
