The Infrastructure and Information Technology Division provides core support in information technology and physical resources such as accommodation and fleet. The division provides the strategies, business processes and systems to efficiently and effectively deliver these core support services to enable Parks Victoria to be financially sustainable, safe and technologically enabled.
The IT Services (ITS) Division is responsible for providing Information Technology services and solutions to Parks Victoria at approximately 120 sites over Victoria and 1200 users.
The branch is led by Parks Victoria's Chief Information Officer and comprises four functions - Engage, Plan, Build and Run.
The primary focus of the Software Engineer is to
Participate in the full cycle of delivering
Supporting software applications and integration services to all our customers.
These applications and integration need to be in alignment with business requirements which are fit for purpose, responsive, reliable, secure, and auditable.
Essential Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrable understanding of architectural security principles, secure service integration with client API's, third-party applications, data architecture and governance, including event driven architectures, CQRS, micro services, REST, SOAP API's
Solid C# Skills.
Good experience with .Net 4.5+, .NET Core, REST.
Good knowledge of Azure Repos, branching strategies.
Some exposure to Azure App Services, Azure Functions.
Broad understanding of SOLID principles
Good grasp on asynchronous programming concepts
Some experience with continuous Integration and continuous delivery pipelines, YAML Templates, Azure Repos, Build and Pipelines.
Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written & communication skills
Strong self-management, self-organisation, multi-tasking, and time management skills
Strong customer focus service ethic, interpersonal skills and agile mindset always look for opportunities to learn and improve.
A tertiary degree or relevant qualification in IT, Microsoft, Agile/Scrum Certification will be highly regarded.
