Are you an experienced Application Developer looking to make an impact by streamlining system functionality and reducing technical debt?

Our client seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the transition from custom developments to out-of-the-box capabilities within the StudentOne platform.

This role is critical to aligning system functionality with best practices, improving maintainability, and ensuring minimal disruption to users. If you have a strong background in application development and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!

What you will do

• Replace custom developments with standard StudentOne features.
• Collaborate with business analysts to meet requirements through configuration rather than custom code.
• Support the creation of test plans and conduct system testing and UAT as well as troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth transitions.
• Update system documentation to reflect changes and provide knowledge transfer and training for operational staff and end-users.
• Work with project managers, business analysts, and cybersecurity teams to achieve operational goals.

What you have done

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in application development, including system migrations and code refactoring.
• In-depth knowledge of StudentOne architecture and customisation
• Familiar with system integration and data migration techniques, including APIs, web services, and batch processing.
• Experience with database management and query optimisation, particularly in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
• Proficiency in SQL, Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL, .NET, and related technologies.
• Skilled in system integration, database management, and optimisation.
• Experience with various testing methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools (preferred).
