Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer

As the Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and support of the Azure Cloud platform for the organisation

This key role requires a proactive and strategic mindset, with a strong focus on security and Automation to ensure a scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the Azure Cloud Platform while ensuring security best practices.
• Work alongside the DevOps team to assure CI/CD pipelines and leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Provide hands-on technical support for Azure services, including Azure AD, Azure Firewall, Key Vault, Defender, Security Centre, and Sentinel.
• Utilise monitoring tools to maintain optimal performance and cost efficiency of Azure infrastructure and services.
• Work cross-functionally with IT and business teams to optimise automation and enforce cost controls and standardisation.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Who I'm Looking For:

• 10+ years as a Senior Systems Engineer and 3+ years as a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer preferably within the financial services domain.
• Proven long tenures with current and previous companies.
• Scripting experience utilising PowerShell, Terraform or Python.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory and Internet Services.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, change, problem, and configuration management.
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
