Business Analyst (6-Month Contract - Potential for Extension)

Location - Hybrid -3x days in office then work from home.

In this role, you will work closely with business SMEs and IT teams to analyse business requirements, ensuring the development of effective solutions that align with strategic goals.

Candidates must be located in Sydney NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business SMEs and IT teams to analyse business requirements and uncover the underlying business needs through workshops and discussions with stakeholders.
• Specify and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, ensuring clarity and accessibility for a wide range of stakeholders (Business, Executive, Application and Solution Designers, Development, and Testing teams).
• Write business requirements documents or User Stories for Agile projects, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and easily understood.
• Design user interfaces using User-Centered Design (UCD) principles, adhering to Australian Government Accessibility and Usability standards and guidelines.
• Develop process maps, including as-is process analysis and to-be process designs, to support process improvement initiatives.
• Quickly learn and understand the overall business structure, strategy, and how these factors impact team efforts and project deliverable.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within a similar industry.
• Strong documentation skills for business, functional, and non-functional requirements, with the ability to tailor content to different stakeholder audiences.
• Solid experience with User-Centered Design (UCD) principles, and a strong understanding of accessibility and usability guidelines, especially within the context of Australian Government standards.
