Join an organisation enabling quality, sustainability and traceability in the Australian wool industry! This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to play a critical role in shaping new products within the Australian Wool Sustainability Scheme (AWSS) and National Wool Declaration Integrity Program (NWD-IP).
About the Role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be instrumental in bridging the gap between IT and business stakeholders to deliver a brand-new greenfield system. This role requires someone who can quickly grasp business rules, drive requirements gathering, and confidently engage with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of exiting components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering - Define scope, build user stories, and capture business requirements for the AWSS program.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Work closely with international clients, sustainability experts, marketing, and IT teams to ensure the program meets industry needs.
- Decision-Making & Judgement - Navigate complex business rules, act as a trusted advisor, and provide recommendations
- Collaboration with IT & Development Teams - Serve as the conduit between business and IT, ensuring system development aligns with business objectives.
- End-to-End Business Analysis Support - Work across the full project lifecycle, from discovery to implementation.
- Documentation & Integrity - Maintain high-quality documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, with minimum of 8 year's experience
- Background in sustainability, agriculture, supply chain, or similar industries (e.g., dairy, farm auditing).
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills - ability to ask the right questions, engage confidently, and influence outcomes.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities - quickly grasp business rules and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Experience working in greenfield builds - ability to work across both business and IT teams.
- Hybrid working model - typically 3 days on-site, 2 days WFH.
